Terms of Service
Last updated: March 22, 2026
Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using InvoiceKit, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the application. These terms are intentionally simple because this is a free, open-source tool with no account system.
Use of the service
InvoiceKit is provided as a free tool to help individuals and businesses create professional invoices. You may use it for any lawful purpose. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the invoices you create. InvoiceKit provides no legal or financial advice.
No warranty
InvoiceKit is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. Use the application at your own risk.
In particular, you acknowledge that:
- Browser storage can be cleared by the browser or the user, resulting in data loss
- We make no guarantees about data persistence
- The application may become unavailable at any time
- Invoice templates are provided for convenience and may not meet specific legal requirements in your jurisdiction
Data and backups
All data is stored locally in your browser. We are not responsible for any loss of data resulting from browser storage being cleared, device failure, or any other cause. You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your data using the Export feature.
Intellectual property
InvoiceKit is open-source software. The application code is available for inspection. You may not claim the InvoiceKit brand, name, or design as your own. Invoices you create are entirely your own work and your intellectual property.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, InvoiceKit and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
Prohibited uses
You may not use InvoiceKit to:
- Create fraudulent, misleading, or illegal invoices
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of InvoiceKit after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
Governing law
These terms shall be governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the application is used. Any disputes arising shall be resolved in good faith.
